Boys in Blue is a touching song and tribute dedicated to police officers, sheriffs deputies, firefighters, first responders and all the fallen heroes of public safety.

It is performed by local recording artist Dave Andrews.

He received his inspiration for Boys in Blue from a tragic event in 2005 that touched us all.  Sacramento County Sheriffs Department STAR VI was lost in a catastrophic accident.  STAR Pilot Joe Kievernagel and Observor Kevin Blount were lost in the line of duty and Deputy Eric Henrickson was seriously injured.

Dave Andrews is the brother of Sacramento County Sheriffs Deputy and STAR Pilot Joe Kievernagel.

He debuted his rising single at the 2008 6th Annual Guns and Hoses Pig Bowl XXXIV.

Dave Andrews will be performing in Citrus Heights at the Sunrise Mall Firefighters Burn Institute Fill the Boot for Burns Drive from February 15 to 18.
